Adapter option

All Roam handbikes have a clever hitching mechanism that allows you to hitch and unhitch your handbike very easily. Configure your handbike with one of our adapters that best suits your wheelchair. Choose the detachable adapter for transfers or moving the [folding] wheelchair, for example. In addition, the detachable adapter saves ± 1.3kg in weight. Every situation is specific, ask for the best advice!

Installation and adjustment

Mounting the adapter and adjusting the Connect hitching rod is carried out at Roam.

Only select the option ''adjustment'' if an adapter is already present under the wheelchair.

If coming to Roam is not an option, the relevant dealer will send the wheelchair to Roam including fitting form. We aim to return the wheelchair with hitching bar and Connect hitching bar, to the relevant Roam dealer within 5 working days*.

Please note: The wheelchair should be fully adjusted when sent to Roam for fitting and adjustment work.
